ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Plans are coming together for a benefit for Patti Quintana and her conviction to seek alternative healing.  Since local doctors say they can do nothing more than additional chemo which will not cure, but only prolong her life for a little while, she feels this is an extraordinary possibility for a personal cure and for bringing inspiration and hope to others afterwards.  This is an update:   The Ralph Butler Band will do a benefit concert at Twin Oaks Winery, Sunday November 2nd, from 2pm - 5pm.  There will be no charge to attend, but donation collection cans will be available. Branding Iron Restaurant will be serving food, with half of the charge for their plate lunches going to Patti's benefit.  There will be a Silent Auction with contributions from local businesses during the event and local radio stations have agreed to announce it.  Patti has opened a separate account and has filled out a bank form so all donations will be tax-deductible and the monies will go solely to her healing quest.  Personal checks can be made out to "I See A Cure"/Patti Quintana.

WE'RE EXCITED to welcome Rev. Jan Mahannah as our official part-time minister.  Rev. Jan, as we call her, and her husband Bob Casey, came to us from Baton Rouge, LA.  Rev. Jan will not only lead Unity of Farmington as part-time minister, she will also continue to conduct workshops and retreats through her Spiritual Enrichment Ministry.

Rev. Jan has already provided a positive, enriching experience for Unity of Farmington with her presence and her uplifting and insightful messages.  We are lucky and thankful to welcome Rev. Jan to our church and our community.

OUR BOOKSTORE has many choices for reading and giving.  We have books by Charles Fillmore, James Dillet Freeman, Eric Butterworth, and many "non-Unity" authors.  Our newest offering is Sacred Secrets.  The bookstore is open on Sunday mornings before and after the service.

OUR LENDING LIBRARY is available to everyone on Sunday mornings.

WE ARE PROUD to host the Farmington Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry at Unity of Farmington and support Habitat for Humanity of St. Francois County as our ongoing commitments to the wellbeing of our local community.

BLESS ALL of those who participate in prayer.  Unity was founded upon the power of prayer and practical Christianity (Christianity in action).  We at Unity continue to see the hands of God at work in our lives and in the lives of others because of prayer.

WE THANK those who continue to make our church a place of beauty.   Thank you, Jill, for the weekly flower arrangements.  Thank you, Ruth, for your excellent ability on the piano.  Thanks to the Board of Trustees who serve with dedication.  Thanks to all of you who attend our services and contribute to the joy we share.
