Retirement from Church-Centered Ministry – June 1st

Dear friends and members of Unity Christ Center:

It is with loving concern that I am formally announcing my need to retire/resign from this beloved church-centered ministry, Unity Christ Center, Farmington, MO on June 1st, 2015.  I have need at this time to be free  to assist elderly family care and to co-manage family affairs in Kansas.  To remain as your minister in this transitional time for my family would short-change you as a congregation and holds a responsibility for me that I can no longer manage.

I will continue to serve the Unity movement as time and opportunities permit later through my alternative Unity ministry, Spiritual Enrichment Ministry.  It’s focus is occasional guest speaking engagements, Guided Imagery and Music sessions for individual spiritual insight, inspirational music performances, co-facilitating retreats, and spiritual counseling,  but my consistent time here as your minister must come to an end.  May 31st will be my last consistent Sunday with you.

It has been a privilege to serve you, both collectively as a congregation and individually in our healing prayer times together these past 8 1/2 years.  My love and caring for you will continue, but primarily from a distance after June 1st as cross-country trips for family necessitate.  My prayer for you  is for a new part-time Unity minister and/or Licensed Unity Teachers to come forward to inspire you during Sunday services and to minister to your spiritual needs.

With love and blessings to each one of you and gratitude to Divine Inspiration that led me to you,

in the Christ Light, Rev. Jan Mahannah
